We have a strong industrial footprint with 20 plants producing some of our bestselling biscuits, chocolate and candy products, and a European Biscuit Research and Development center in Saclay, France. This facility supports product development for many of Europe’s most beloved biscuit brands, including LU, belVita, Oreo, Mikado, Prince,Saiwa and TUC.

Mondelēz International is present in 96% of Belgian and French households and in over 90% of Dutch households. We are also the market leader in terms of innovation in all our categories. For example, in France we have launched 5 new products over the past few years that are part of the biggest innovations in the food sector since 2009: Biscuits & Gâteaux Moelleux Milka, Oreo, Hollywood Mystery, Belin Box, and Philadelphia. All our iconic brands are supported by award-winning marketing and media campaigns.

The Western Europe area has been a pioneer in ensuring a sustainable supply and traceability of wheat used for our LU biscuits by setting up the Harmony Center. The program was first created in France in 2008 as a sustainable partnership with actors along the wheat supply chain: from farmers to millers. The program aims to favor local biodiversity, as well as the quality and traceability of the wheat in our biscuits. Today more than 1,700 European farmers have partnered with in line with our commitment to use Harmony wheat in 75% of our biscuits sold in Western Europe by 2015.

The Côte d’Or brand is amongst the first brands to be made with cocoa sourced from our Cocoa Life program and carry the mark on-pack. Cocoa Life is a $400 million 10-year commitment to empower over 200,000 farmers and more than one million people in our six key cocoa growing origins by 2022.
